ABOUT SOUNDJAM
Soundjam is a traveling Christian music festival that hits cities all over the United States each year. Created by the former producer of SHOUTfest and Festival Con Dios, Soundjam is a large event in each city it visits with headliners like Switchfoot, Big Daddy Weave, and Group 1 Crew. In 2009, Soundjam will be coming to Mt Vernon, OH on September 19th and New Orleans, LA on October 17th.
ABOUT THE BATTLE OF THE BANDS
Bands and artists from all over the United States can enter the Soundjam Battle of the Bands. All entries will be reviewed by the Soundjam staff. 3 bands/artists will be selected to perform at the Soundjam Festival in each city. These 3 artists will have to pay an additional $75 fee for the performance. Each artist will get a 15 minute performance set at the festival alongside artists like Switchfoot and Big Daddy Weave! Merchandise sales will be allowed by all performing artists. The Soundjam staff will select 1 band as a regional winner from their performance at the Soundjam Festival. The regional winner will be invited to showcase for record labels in Nashville, TN during the Soundjam Symposium in early 2010. Download the official rules by clicking HERE. The deadline to enter for Mt Vernon, OH is September 13th at midnight and the deadline to enter for New Orleans, LA is October 15th.
ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM
The Soundjam Symposium will be held in early 2010 in Nashville, TN. The event will include a showcase for record labels and other industry professionals, plus workshop classes that will help you understand the music business. ALL the finalists in the Soundjam Battle of the Bands will receive a prize package worth approximately $1000.
