Bio
Kris Broadhead grew up just north of Birmingham, AL. He was raised in church, but strayed from God during his teenage years abandoning the church by his 18th birthday. The next 4 years were spent on drugs, alcohol, and parties. Thankfully, God did not abandon him. During the spring of 2000, God began drawing Kris back to Himself. On the back porch of his apartment in broken repentance, Kris accepted the call to the ministry. God placed a fire in Kris' heart to study the Word of God, to listen for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and to intimately know the Lord, Jesus. This passion for Christ naturally led to telling others of the fullness of life he had found in the Savior. Kris was married in February of 2001. Shortly after he and his wife Jamie became members of Gardendale First Baptist. Kris was licensed to preach under Steve Gaines and was advised by him to consider attending Southeastern Bible College. Kris was brought on staff at Gardendale in 2005 to assist with College and Singles and was ordained in 2006. He will graduate from Southeastern this spring and plans to immediately pursue his Master's Degree.
