"Owing Adam" also mean that the band owes Christ. In 1 Corinthians 15: 21,22, Paul also wrote, " For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." Because of this verse and other verses in Romans, Christ is sometimes referred to as the second Adam. Paul also wrote in Romans 8:12, " Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh." The verse is a direct word from God that we are debtors to Christ, to live after the Spirit.
Because the first man sinned, we are all born sinners. Sin requires the penalty of death. Because Jesus Christ never sinned and yet died (2 Corinthians 5:21), He took the penalty for those that have sinned. The Bible also says that Christ became alive again on the third day of his death conquering death forever for those who would believe in Him. We can partake of this eternal sacrifice that He has made for us and His resurrection simply by believing, confessing our sins and turning from our sin to God, who not only forgives us, but becomes our Father and our Friend. Romans 10:9 and 10 say, " That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." If you have not confessed your sins to God, will you bow before Him in humility today and believe and confess that you are a sinner to Him?

The Band wishes to share God's love with anyone. If you don't agree with owing adam that 's cool. The band just wants to give everyone an opportunity to know Jesus Christ in a real and personal way.

Bio
Owing Adam is a tree with deeps roots. The band was in its infant stages in the year 2000 when Blake and Josh had the desire to start a band for Decatur Baptist Church's college and career ministry. With inexperienced and not quite mature leaders, the band was short-lived. About one year later, Blake was approached about doing music for DBC's vacation Bible school. He embraced the challenge with open arms and gathered a new band together. After listening on at VBS, Student Pastor Joe McKaige asked the band to lead praise and worship in the middle-school ministry. About two years after, the band was allowed the opportunity to minister in the college and career department where their hearts had been at the very start. Momentum had picked up, and God was working in a mighty way.

The group began receiving invitations to play outside the local congregation and decided that they needed a name. It had to be a name that fit the evangelistic efforts of the group and uplifted the name of Christ. After much deliberation, the band chose "Owing Adam" to signify the debt that saved men have in owing lost humanity a chance to hear the gospel of Christ. "Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles. I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise. So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are in Rome also." (Romans 1: 13- 15). "Owing Adam" also signifies the debt that we have toward Christ, our Creator and Redeemer. "Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. .
