Bio
Let me introduce you to a young man by
the name of Short-Tee a.k.a. Minister
U. Torrence Sims. He now resides in Birmingham,
AL with his wife Paula and daughter Imani
where they attend More Than Conquerors
Faith Church Stephen Green Sr., Pastor.
He serves in the youth department at More
Than Conquerors Faith Church as Outreach
Coordinator/ Assistant Youth Pastor. Many
have labeled him the “LL Cool J”
of Gospel Hip Hop due to his crossover,
energetic, hard hitting style.
Short-Tee(Some How Our Race Triumphs Through
Endless Efforts) is a born again Christian
with a high impact flavor that appeals
to different ages, races, and music listeners.
His first CD self entitled features a
song “ Mental Balisticz” showing
where he has put his faith. This young
brother has taken the negative influences
of a single parent home, drugs, gangs,
death, and teen pregnancy to name a few,
and turned it into a positive. He is determined
to minister the message that the odds
can be against you but with Jesus Christ
you can beat the statistics. His stage
show gets your blood pumping with a blend
of current hip hop beats and samples,
traditional gospel songs, dancing, crowd
participation, and skits mixed with original
lyrics like a chef in a kitchen. In this
kitchen everyone will find something they
can eat on and the desert will have you
worshiping our Lord & Savior and the
angels in heaven rejoicing about the souls
that were saved.
He has performed on numerous stages and
festivals. He has opened for groups/artist
like “69 Boyz”, “The
Sounds Of Blackness”, “Three
6 Mafia”, “Lil Zane”,
“Dawkins & Dawkins”, Christian
Bands “Big Daddy Weave”, Dove
Award winner “New Song” ,
“Todd Agnew”, and the dynamic
Kirk Franklin to name a few. He is presently
part of the “Mark and Mack Revival
Tour”, with Christian Radio station
93.7 WDJC Birmingham, AL. He has appeared
on The Inspirational Networks (INSP) Mixx
Masters Lounge, The Trinity Broadcast
Network (TBN), and he also ministered

Excellence Fighting Back Award for Drug
and Gang Prevention, Big Brothers Big
Sisters Big Brother of The Year 2000 for
the state of Alabama, and the 2004 Hip

AL for Hip Hop Community Service. He co-founded
Bless Da Streets Ministries in November
2003, which uses Hip Hop as a tool and
speaks in communities, schools, youth
detention centers, prisons, as well as
churches to reach the lost.
He has served his country in the Navy
in Operation Desert Storm and in the Army
(reservist activated)in Operation Noble
Eagle(United States) and Operation Enduring
Freedom (Bagram, Afghanistan). While on
active duty he served as chaplain due
to his kind spirit. He was the first to
minister through gospel hip hop as part
of a Gospel Extravaganza(June 22,2002).
He has a hot album available that is blessing
many and changing lives titled “Operation
Save” on his Thorn Crown Entertainment

someone who is bringing Gods Uncompromised
WORD to the industry by storm! He may
be vertically challenged, but he is hitting
the devil with knees, and elbows! One
