Ministry

In a fast paced society screaming to sell your soul to commercialism, to surrender passion for financial stability and to trade your bodies for happiness, Time of Favor is shouting a different melody. We are passionate about showing Christ to a generation starved of hope and desperately seeking purpose. Jesus talked about "fields ripe with harvest" and we see it all around us, everyday. TOF strives to be all things to all people, creating innovative music coupled with passionate lyrics that not only boldly reach the lost, but continue to challenge Christians in their pursuit of Christ. I could try to convince you of what we sound like, but ultimately, it up to you. Take a listen to our MP3s.

For Time of Favor, spreading the gospel is about so much more than "guilt tactics" or a candy coated "feel good" gospel. It's about showing love in a practical way while being bold about who God is and what grace really means. That's how Christ did it so that's what we aim for. That's why we cherish our ongoing involvement with such ministries as Invisible Children, Relay for Life, and the Extreme Sports ministry "Real Encounter Outreach," which takes us across the continent getting our hands dirty and meeting people on their level, on a mass scale. TOF is servant hearted, always striving to be above reproach and excellent in everything we do. We always travel with 10,000 watts of sound equipment and intelligent moving lights, not because we're "rock stars" but because we strive to bring a life changing experience to every audience, large or small. But at the end of the night when the lights have faded and the crowd is gone it's about what Christ has done for each of us.

Bio

"Hi friends. Thanks for checking out Time of Favor. My name is Sean. I sing and play guitar in a christian band with some of my best friends in the world: Kyle Kicker (drums),and Dale Burnett (Lead guitar/ vocals). We are all grew up leading worship in southwest MO."

Since it’s conception in 2001, Favor has lead their own evolution of modern melodic rock, straying far from burnout fads. Yielding passionate and thought provoking lyrics with innovative musical concepts that remain approachable for the listener.

“I’ve often been asked to classify TOF into a genre. But I have trouble getting very specific, and that’s how I like it. Probably because we don’t follow fads, and we don’t “try” to sound like anything. We don’t write music for the scene. We just write music from the bottom of our hearts” explains Lea.

In 2005 Favor picked up momentum with it’s sophomore release “Something Profound,” which hit the stands the day of their high school graduation. The release of a full length original album at such a young age quickly garnered the attention of industry professionals. One of these being the multi-platinum Producer, Malcolm Springer (Matchbox 20, Faith Hill, Collective soul). Springer helped produce and arrange a portion of the tracks on their 2007 release “Cannonballs and Whispers,” but more importantly, he was a friend and mentor to the group as they ventured into the unforgiving trenches of the music industry. Between the talents of Malcolm and the mastering genius of Paul Salvenson (Mercy Me, Rebecca St.James) the release of thier third full length “Cannonballs and Whispers” (2007) catapulted Favor’s career into overdrive. Touring full time, yet remaining independent from the support of any record label or management group. Having their roots as worship leaders, Time of Favor is also capable and passionate about leading worship, bringing every element of musical production to your event.

Time of Favor travels with their own sound, intelligent light show and power distribution unit. Allowing you to turn any facility with a stage and a dual phase 70 amp breaker into a full on concert production experience.
